What We Offer

You Don't Have to Face It Alone

Our Services

Support for Every Challenge You May Face

Whether you're dealing with the aftermath of a critical incident, struggling at home, or just need someone who understands — MS LEAPS is here. Our peer support specialists are trained to walk alongside you through whatever you're facing.

MS LEAPS members are NOT Professional Mental Health Experts; however, we are trained to help connect you with the right resources when needed.

Critical Incidents

When a call changes everything, you need support from someone who gets it. Our peer support team responds to critical incidents and helps officers process what they've experienced in a safe, confidential environment.

High-Stress Events

The cumulative weight of high-stress events takes a toll over time. MS LEAPS provides ongoing peer support to help first responders manage stress before it becomes a crisis.

Line of Duty Deaths

Losing a fellow first responder is one of the most devastating experiences in our careers. We provide immediate peer support and ongoing care for agencies and individuals affected by line-of-duty deaths.

Funeral Protocols

MS LEAPS assists agencies and families in navigating funeral protocols and honors for fallen first responders, ensuring every hero receives the dignity and respect they deserve.

Benefits for Families

We help connect families of fallen or injured first responders with available benefits and resources, guiding them through a process that can feel overwhelming during an already difficult time.

Chaplain Support

Our chaplain coordinator provides chaplains to assist you and your family in spiritual care and emotional support to first responders and their families — regardless of faith background — during times of crisis or personal need.

Family & Spouse Programs

The job affects the whole family. MS LEAPS offers support and  education to spouses and family members, and a community for those who stand behind the badge.

Financial Matters

Unexpected financial stress can compound personal and professional challenges. We help connect first responders with financial resources, guidance, and support programs available to them.

Suicide Prevention, Intervention & Follow-Up

Suicides among first responders are a crisis we take seriously. MS LEAPS provides proactive prevention education, immediate intervention support, and compassionate follow-up care for those in need.

Alcohol & Substance Abuse

Substance use is a common — and often silent — response to trauma. Our peer support specialists provide confidential support and help connect first responders with appropriate treatment resources.

Other Personal Concerns

Whatever you're going through — if it's affecting your life, your family, or your work — MS LEAPS is here to listen. No issue is too small, No one should walk alone, and  no one will be turned away.

Mental Health Professional Referrals

Sometimes peer support is the first step. When additional care is needed, MS LEAPS connects first responders with vetted mental health professionals who understand the first responder culture.
